I would counter this view with:

- Rixx Javixx
- Apothne
- Chribba
- Gorski Car
- Jayne Fillion
- many former and current CSMs (In addtion to those already mentioned)
I don't think there is any evidence to support the view that regulars to r/eve like thse guys don't care for Eve's own personality.

Just because each of us have a totally untested and unvalidated opinions, doesn't make our views a reflection of reality.
So when you say that the people of r/eve tend to be the one's that don't care about Eve's personality, prove it. Counters, such as those listed above suggest a different possibility, so if they are the few exceptions, rather than guys who also see how r/eve is a reflection of the personality of Eve, then show the evidence that says they are just the few and exceptions.
Remove all the personal bias and put the objective evidence on the table if you are so sure that your view is the true view.
Additionally, let's not forget that the changes in the game are coming from CCP. They aren't being made by r/eve.
So if r/eve are supportive and r/eve reflect people who don't value Eve's personality, then you have to also be saying that CCP don't care for Eve's personality. Again, I don't really see the evidence that support that. Not objective evidence anyway.

I don't believe I claimed it changed it, just that the claim that people on r/eve tend to not care about the personality of Eve, because the community there agrees with the changes being made by CCP, isn't necessarily true.
None of which changes the fact that r/eve aren't changing the game. CCP are. So if there's going to be butthurt over changes, then surely the butthurt should be directed at CCP first.
However, I can totally understand Emporium members being upset at r/eve. You couldn't control the narrative, so it must be evil.
So whinge and ***** and moan all you like. That won't change it either.

For the last few months now, moderation here has taken a much softer approach.
Threads are still regularly locked, but there seems to be a tendency to let discussion happen now, on topics that previously would have been locked immediately.
So whether other people's opinions are valued or not, on any side of a debate/discussion, the forums do seem to be letting everyone have more of a say now.

I'm both a regular on the forums and on r/eve and then also on slack and I occasionally jump into eve related tweet discussions.
Why should anyone be limited to only 1 platform or why should any one platform be superior to any other? They are all social platforms, so more power to people no matter what platform they find most useful. It's not a PC Master race thing.
